Obtain Reports and Other Services from the Records Division

You may request services from the Records Division of the Griffith Police Department during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 A.M. to 4 P.M.  The Records Division is closed on holidays and weekends. 

Record Division Services and Fees Include:

  • Crash Reports: $10

  • Vehicle Impound Release
    • Standard Release:  $25
    • Release Due to Arrest:  $50
  • Animal Warden Boarding & Reclaiming Fees
    • $15 per day boarding fee
    • Reclaiming Fee
      • First and Second Offense: $10
      • Third Offense:  $25
      • Fourth Offense:  $50
  • Background Check/Criminal History
    • Non-resident fee: $10
    • Resident fee: Free
  • Non-electronic Fingerprints
    • Free for residents
    • $20 for non-residents
  • Vehicle Identification Number Checks
    • $5
  • Golf Cart Permit
    • $50 Initial Permit
    • $30 Annual Renewal Permit
  • Gun Permit
    • All local fees waived
  • Police Officer Application Fee
    • $25
