The Griffith Animal Control operates under the authority of the Griffith Police Department and is charged with the duty of insuring the well-being and proper treatment of cats and dogs within the Town of Griffith.  This duty is accomplished through the enforcement of applicable state laws and town ordinances that govern the care and treatment of domesticated animals, as well as the general sheltering and care for all abandoned, lost, or other at needs cats and dogs of Griffith.  The Griffith Animal Control is staffed by Animal Warden Sandi Litke, two part-time aides, and a host of extremely dedicated volunteers facilitated through a partnership with Treasured Friends Animal Rescue and Adoption.
